Description
The PhonoPod® variants have been designed for maximum acoustic privacy through the use of high quality sound absorbing materials correlating with clever engineering. When used in conjunction with 'sound masking systems' the two combined offer a pleasant haven for speech privacy for all important sensitive meetings and private conversation.
All models of PhonoPod® are made incorporating honeycomb duel cross bonded aluminium layers created for structural integrity combined with multi layer sound insulated glass panels. This unique structural design is then handed over to our sound absorption team for acoustic lining and finishing inside and out. These acoustic pods are internally lined with our PET coloured absorption panels as a standard. The external finish is either our Acusorb® Medera, Acusorb® PET, Acusorb® Tessuto or Acusorb® Vita. The Pod install is best then be completed with a unique and integrated sound masking system to enhance speech privacy. Each acoustic pod incorporates state of art ventilation to ensure great air quality at all times.
It's a fact that the acoustic privacy factor of our pods increases the higher the ambient noise outside the pod. The pods 'acoustics' are designed to work effectively both ways providing a quiet space inside the pod preventing external noise coming in and containing sound for those that are working outside the pod. All our pods have excellent 'Speech Privacy' performance characteristics.

Our lightweight PhonoPod's acoustic privacy booths come with integrated desk options, a range of internal finishes and external finishes, media console options, PIR lighting options and quiet ventilation. These pods can be designed to fit your surroundings.
The PhonoPod® Solo privacy booth is a very popular space when used as a 'phone booth' to make a quick call in privacy. These booths eradicate the need to try and gain privacy elsewhere, a stairwell, a corridor or worse still, wandering around, making that call with the potential to distract others.
Acoustic pods by name are NOT generally soundproof however are designed for to give maximum acoustic privacy through the use of high quality sound absorbing materials combined with clever engineering.

Acoustic Privacy Booth (Privacy Phone Booth)
PhonoPod® Solo

PhonoPod® Solo is a single seated privacy booth. Designed to maximise on speech privacy with the use of 'Class A' sound absorbing internal liner materials, cleverly engineered laminate safety glass, specially designed aluminium framing and high grade acoustic seals. all these combined, this pod offers optimal sound control. Members of your team will be able to work in acoustic comfort and total privacy, whether that is to take a phone call or to do a recording.
This modular unit is simple to piece together, has integral PIR sensor controls, internal LED lighting, a small media console with USB charging facility and a built-in air ventilation system.
When PhonoPod's acoustic booths and pods are used in conjunction with a patented state of the art 'sound masking' system, total acoustic comfort and speech privacy will be a given.
The higher the ambient noise level outside of the pod, the better the pod's acoustic privacy factor becomes.

With Acuphon's range of acoustic absorption solutions, on top of our existing acoustic door sets and audiology booths, the PhonoPod® Acoustic booths and pods were inevitable.
Acuphon were approached by a leading pod designer looking for a fresh approach and outlook to acoustic pods. With this, together we designed our pods utilising modern technologies and design methods.
With the aid of our existing supply partner of 'sound masking systems' Sound Directions and the leading brand Siemens we are able to offer a valid, functional acoustic meeting pod solution with enhanced and impressive speech privacy precautions.

Acoustic enclosure is a generally accepted technical term, and is used to define a closed engineered structure which has been specifically designed and built for the purpose of noise reduction, minimisation of noise, or attenuation of the noise generated internally. The acoustic enclosure represents a separate type of noise control solution.
Acuphon have a range of enclosure that have specific uses such as the acoustic barrier compounds used to contain construction noise, bespoke acoustic pods used for meetings or quiet working areas, acoustic privacy booths, again can be used for a quiet working space or make the perfect phone booth and audiometric rooms used by the audiologist for the purpose of hearing tests or by the vocal artist wanting that perfect recording playback.
